This interactive museum encompasses 4-acres, and leads its guests step by step through the exploration of black gold. Features of the museum include ancient artifacts, life sized murals and an exhibit where guests can literally feel the ground shake simulating a nitroglycerin explosion. Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday 9-5pm and Sunday 2-5pm.
The American Airpower Heritage Museum is dedicated to the preservation and history of World War II military aviation. The museum houses 40,000 square feet of hands-on and permanent exhibits featuring uniforms, armament, weapons and equipment, and photographs.
The Museum of the Southwest is housed in the historic Turner Mansion, originally built in 1934. The museum features an Art Museum, Children's Museum, a Planetarium and numerous interactive exhibits of art and science.
